I am Ryusei Hosono, Japanese, grew up in Düsseldorf and now managing director in Tokyo. I was the starting point of HosonoDE and still shape the agency's direction, but the most important factor is our team: almost 20 people bringing together e-commerce, development, marketing, operations and AI.

From 2016 to 2018 I worked at an agency with more than 300 people and started my apprenticeship as a media designer for digital and print in parallel. From 2018 to 2020 I was an e-commerce manager in Hesse for a footwear brand. Right where you often sit: shop operations, product data, campaigns, KPIs. Since 2020 I first worked as a freelancer and then built HosonoDE from that demand. That is why I understand your side of the table as well as the big-agency setup.

When I moved to Japan, I deliberately started as a freelancer. The agency was not a show piece, but the logical answer to more demand, more complex topics and the insight that real quality pays off especially when specialists work together. That is why HosonoDE is no longer built around one person, but around a close-knit team.

Today I think in years for you, not only in tickets. A short-term fix can help. The real leverage is stable shops, clean data, clear processes and sensible AI. This is what we work on together: not just patching once, but measurably strengthening your e-commerce system as a team.
